When commissioning a Curve Couture outfit please be aware of the following:

• Hours of work
The studio is usually open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Saturday, but hours vary. CONSULTATIONS ARE ONLY BY APPOINTMENT. Curve Couture appreciates that many client work during the day and is able to offer evening consultations from anytime between 5pm-7pm to these clients. Please call to discuss.

• Allow enough time
If the garment is required for a specific event please make contact at least 2 months in advance to allow sufficient time to schedule the work, including fittings and sourcing materials. If the item is small, such as a fascinator a month may be sufficient.

Be inspired
You may or may not already have a clear idea of exactly what you require, but either way it is always useful to bring any pictures, material samples etc. to the initial consultation to help communicate your ideas and vision.

• Quotation
Once the design has been discussed including materials and finishes, and a final sketch produced a quote will be supplied. If you have a particular budget in mind please let us know beforehand. A re-quote, at the discretion of Curve Couture, may be required if any changes are requested once the commission has commenced. If a specific completion date is required please also be aware that changes to the design may effect Curve Couture’s ability to complete the project on schedule, especially if more materials will need to be sourced.

Made to measure
All Curve Couture outfits are made to measure. Measurements will be taken during the 1st or 2nd consultation.  A mock up will be produced and you will be invited back to the studio for a 1st fitting to check the fit and flow. Once any alterations are made the actual outfit can be constructed. You will then be invited back for fittings to ensure a perfect fit. Subject to the complexity of the outfit several fittings may be required, but 1-2 is the normal. > Click here to visit the frockumentary page to learn about the design process and see examples of previous commissions Pregnant?
